I’m looking for a reliable WordPress developer to help fill scheduling gaps in ongoing projects.
The developer I currently work with is excellent, but availability has become inconsistent,
so I need someone who can step in as needed and keep projects moving forward
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and configure WordPress themes (primarily from ThemeForest.net)
- Customize themes using child themes, custom CSS, and PHP adjustments when needed
- Create and format content pages using content I provide, or migrate existing content from older sites
- Diagnose and repair issues related to themes, plugins, or WordPress core
- Optimize site speed, caching, and plugin configurations for performance and stability
- Handle basic troubleshooting of hosting/server-related issues (PHP version conflicts, SSL or cPanel access)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Strong experience with WordPress, including Elementor, WPBakery, and other popular builders
- Comfortable editing theme PHP files, functions, and templates
- Knowledge of on-page SEO best practices (headings, ALT text, schema, internal linking etc.)
- Familiarity with common plugins such as Rank Math, Contact Form 7, Forminator, and WP Rocket
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide realistic timelines for tasks
- Optional but ideal: experience with staging environments, Git, or basic Linux/SSH commands
