With the opening of the HEPP Dam in Kahta, the water level of the Kahta Stream rose. When the picnickers at the historical Cendere Bridge Recreation Area noticed that the water was starting to rise, they reported the situation to the gendarmerie.
The 14 people who were stranded while having a picnic in the Kahta Stream, whose water level rose with the opening of the dam covers in the Kahta district of Adıyaman, were rescued by the gendarmerie.
Gendarmerie teams, who came to the scene with a warning, rescued the trapped 14 people with ropes. Rescuers thanked the crews.
