I am a Research and Development Chemist with 5 years of experience in developing formulations for resins and paints (polymers),establishing the causes of prevalence of tropical diseases in the sub-saharan Africa and risk factors of malnutrition in the elderly in rural areas in Kenya. I have successfully developed a cost effective formulation of a SOFA based medium oil alkyd which is now used in making both automotive and architectural coatings. In addition to that, I have recently completed a research on the use of broad-leafed vegetables as heavy metal regulators in the environment. Furthermore, I noticed that malnutrition in the elderly was one of the major factors that was going to work against realization of the vision 2030 in Kenya. As a result, I worked on a project to find the major risk factors in order to minimize if not putting a stop to it
