Below are some tasks that I have been assigned over my 4 years experience as an accountant:
- Generating invoices for clients, ETR and following up on payments.
- Basic procurement activities including- formulating a requisition form, raising LPO, and receiving goods.
- Posting bills received from suppliers and ensuring timely payment of company expenses while taking into account statutory deductions( Withholding tax where necessary).
- Conducting account analysis on a weekly basis; generating management accounts on demand basis, customer statements and aging reports
- Preparing payroll for staff and ensuring appropriate remittance of deductions.
- Preparing financial statements and schedules for audit purposes.
- Assisting audit seniors in: audit planning, gathering audit evidence and drafting audit reports.
- Formulating financial policies to safeguard company assets.
