Guardianship, Administration orders and Mentorship are legal means that the collective courts of the Dutch Caribbean Islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao and SES Islands) can take to protect people who are not able to sufficiently look after their own property rights and/or non-property interests, for example, as a result of dementia and other illnesses. Depending on the seriousness of the situation, one or more protective measures can be taken. It can be requested at a Dutch Caribbean court without a lawyer. It can be useful to have a person who is familiar with the procedure to do this for you.
