$7/hr Starting at $25

Al-Houthi" has killed more than 10,000 Yemeni children since 2015 after they were involved in the battles Dozens of Yemeni, regional and international human rights organizations have called on the United States of America to reclassify the Houthi militia as a terrorist group. This came in a letter sent by the Yemeni Coalition for Independent Women, in partnership with about 35 Yemeni, regional and international human rights organizations, to US President Joe Biden, asking him to reconsider designating the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization, in conjunction with his visit to the region and the militia's continued obstruction of peace efforts.

The letter stated that the removal of the Houthi group from the lists of global terrorism was to alleviate the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen, but the Houthi militia misunderstood the message and escalated its combat operations for a year and a half and did not engage in a fruitful dialogue, which exacerbated the humanitarian crisis and increased the suffering of citizens.   She pointed to the escalation of Houthi violence after he was removed from the list of terrorist organizations, as the militia's crimes varied between the siege of cities, the bombing of civilians, the bombing of roads and schools, the sniping of civilians, the recruitment of children, displacement, theft of humanitarian aid, the looting of employees' salaries, the bombing of neighboring countries and the arrest of journalists and opponents.

The organizations considered removing the Houthi designation from the lists of terrorism enabled the militia to restore the ability to move freely between the financial and international systems, stressing the need for the US President to consider the suffering of the abductees inside the prisons of the Houthi militia, which includes 4 Yemeni journalists kidnapped since 2015 who are at risk of execution at any time, in addition to  The suffering of abducted women who are subjected to all kinds of torture in those prisons.

She explained that the Houthis have exacerbated food shortages as of June 2022, and it is expected that more than 19 million people will suffer from severe food insecurity, an increase of 9% over the first half of 2022

On the recruitment of children, the message confirmed that the Houthi militia has killed more than 10,000 Yemeni children since 2015 on the battlefield after forcing them to enter it, in addition to the recruitment of more than 35,000 children since 2014, and used schools, mosques and summer camps to indoctrinate and train at least 60,000 children.

And send them to the fronts for their wars on behalf of the Iranian regime. The letter confirmed that women in Yemen have been raped, murdered, kidnapped and arrested since the beginning of the war at the hands of the terrorist Houthi militia.
