An earthquake jolted 3 governorates in northern Iraq near the border with Iran, Thursday, according to the Sky News Arabia correspondent.

The tremor was felt by the residents of the provinces of Sulaymaniyah , Halabja and Kirkuk, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

According to official sources, the magnitude of the tremor was 4.8 on the Richter scale.
