Through 11 years of writing, publishing, and editing content, I have honed my writing into an extensive skill that caters to every audience. For me, the key is to balance between your specifications and the creative flair that is necessary to keep the pages flipping.
I have published some fiction of my own in literary magazines, from which I have either won or been shortlisted for writing prizes. I published in Brittle Paper, The Kalahari Review, and The Shallow Tales Review, amongst others. I was shortlisted for the Awele Creative Prize for Fiction, longlisted for the K&L Prize for Literature, and won several writing contests through the years.
Regarding my articles and Blogs, my work is diverse, with publications for finance blogs, lifestyle magazines, and on my personal Medium blog, where I rant on social commentary through the lens of humor.
I particularly like to work with clients who have a decent understanding of what they want - even if it is just a general idea or throughline. As far as creative or non-fiction writing is confirmed, I understand the importance of having a shared language with the people I work with so that we can both look at the results with a clear understanding of the writing journey that got us there. Of course, I provide as many revisions as are needed, but I strive for an agreeable piece of writing from the start and this is where the communication comes in at the beginning.
Being that writing is my passion, I meticulously take it to heart and take the utmost care to make sure I provide the best writing possible for a given prompt. I extensively research to provide the finest detail, avoid professional jargon, and keep it simple enough to be relatable, while maintaining a creative twist to it.
