Started my career as a journalist in 1992 as a cub reporter for AP-Dow Jones, Dow Jones's International News Service, in New York. Dispatched to Tokyo, Japan to cover financial markets and report on major international companies.
Joined CNBC Asia in 1995 as a producer and reporter. Interviewed entrepreneurs, CEOs, traders and small business owners, as well as government officials. And a lot of traders who said the market was going up when in fact it was going down.
Left full-time journalism in 1997 to pursue a more creative interest: screenwriting. Received Master of Fine Arts degree in 1999. Co-wrote an award-winning screenplay for a short film.
Freelance writer since 2000. Screenwriting is on the side now, but still enjoying it immensely.
