I use Python to develop custom software that allows me to mine data, clean it, model it and store it to several formats, including csv, json, SQL and NoSQL (Firebase & MongoDB). For data mining I use the Requests module and Selenium when needed. If a website doesn't provide an API, I use BeautifulSoup to extract specific HTML tags from the layout. I prefer to write my own crawlers and spiders since they give me the most flexibility when incorporating proxy and user agent rotation. I'm also specialized in creating Reddit, Twitter and Discord bots which allows users from social media to interact with the datasets. I have also experience creating GUIs using Tkinter, wxPython and Apache Flex which allow the users to have a rich experience for querying and understanding the data. Talking about analyzing the data, I also have experience using Matplotlib, Seaborn, Pandas and Numpy.
