As a teacher of English and History, I have had the privilege of encouraging and honing the writing and speaking skills of young people. I also have experience in other areas such as the automotive, financial and music industries.In my teaching career I specialised in writing, debating and public speaking.Not content to repeat the experience of one year 30 times, I have continued to sharpen my skills by attending seminars, courses and inservices. I completed the Certificate IV in Mortgage Lending in 2005 and was full time in the industry for six months. I worked as a sole trader in the automotive industry (detailing) and for five years at the Australasian Performing Right Association (music). In addition to working at a music firm I received classical training in piano (as well as time in a rock band - naturally, I'm a child of the 60s) and play a passable rhythm guitar. Nowadays I play a rocking bass in church on Sunday mornings.Over the last two years or so I have gained experience a
