My career began in the trenches of the hotel industry at both the Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton Chicago focusing on corporate meetings, fundraisers and weddings where I associated with everyone from the CEO to the nervous bride. Today, I’m an employee communications manager for a company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role and in similar positions, I’ve instituted corporate green initiatives, health and wellness programs and executive leadership events to strengthen employee relations as well as social media sites Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn to engage followers and strengthen our brand. Bringing enthusiasm, wit and a hip sensibility, I have also written for local magazines, blogs and business trade publications. I’ve shared my experiences as the Phoenix columnist for Planet Eye Travel and currently as the Phoenix Getaways blogger for Examiner.com.
