I am a published author, adventurer, and environmentalist. I have written grants this year alone that have been awarded over $100,000. Although my education is in academic writing, I am a published writer of both creative fiction and non-fiction. I have written on subjects ranging from the sciences, health and nutrition, leadership, self improvement, outdoor adventure, history, conservation and theology. I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maine with a BS in Wildlife Biology and a minor in Music. I am currently working on my PhD in Wildlife Ecology. My first education, however, was in theology. I spent 4 years in the US Marines as an Infantryman. I have worked as a Principal of a K-12 Christian School and as a Maine Forest Ranger. I enjoy mushing, horseback riding, archery, canoeing, and other forms of traditional outdoor recreation. I also sit on the board of a nonprofit Christian conservation organization.
