Developmental editing is most often used for books and lengthy reports. I will read your manuscript and recommend areas that could be further developed, advise on structure, content, what might be added and what could be cut back or deleted. For fiction books this includes comments on characterizations and character developments, plots, pacing, and general descriptive writing. For nonfiction books and reports, I'll comment on sections that could be added, expanded, or reduced; suggest if you need a glossary, table of contents, index or references; suggest details that may be useful to add to your report. Developmental editing is often requested along with regular editing services and/or proofreading. If you would like a combination of services, please contact me so we can discuss a better, package price for you.
