~1st PROJECT EXAMPLE~
A prime example of a project that best represents my expertise is the nationally recognized 2002 Preakness logo I created for the Maryland Jockey Club (MJC). Their logos in the past have always been very traditional, typically using the tried and true Maryland color scheme of yellow, black and red. I wanted to give this year's logo an exciting edge, while still maintaining MJC's commitment to tradition. The result was a striking new look that, according to the senior vice president of MJC in a written statement, "...captures and celebrates the look and feel that defines Preakness. The new colors, combined with the time-honored Preakness elements, symbolize the Maryland Jockey Club's commitment to tradition, but with a fresh and innovative twist." The attendance for Preakness 2002 was the second largest in its 127 year history.
~2nd PROJECT EXAMPLE~
