Unless you know your business very well and have prepared a full Business Plan and/or you have some history to guide you, a Budget is not the easiest thing to accomplish. In fact sometimes it can be downright grueling. If you are just starting your business you may want to do a simple budget as a guideline and a goal. If your business is in growth mode you may need to do projected budgets to obtain financing or grants. A budget and the associated research will help you to recognize costs you may not have realized you would incur. Anything that can help you avoid surprises will help your business to succeed.
