Certified Public Accountant with significant business, financial process transformations and risk management for middle market to major corporations.  Technology focus on Oracle Cloud transitions.  I am a highly experienced Risk Manager who has senior management and frontline experience with SOX assessments, financial and operational audits. My experience in external audits and reporting enables me to be effective in transformations, to anticipate challenges during system conversions and coach staff in transformations.

Industry expertise includes Financial Services, Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Software as a Service and Gaming.  Specialty compliance topics include Anti-Money Laundering ("AML"), Sarbanes Oxley Act (“SOX”), Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (“CCAR”), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (“COBIT”), and Basel’s Committee on Comprehensive reform Basel II and Basel III.  As many financial institution leaders know AML, Fintech, and Cryptocurrency are some of the hot compliance topics.  Each I have dealt with to some degree.  The latter, crypto, is emerging and requires sound principles established during my tenures to help build foundations for compliance and help anticipate the changing climate.  Same is true for Fintech. 

I am confident based on my leadership and advisory board skills, both governmental and private enterprise, that I can add value to companies wishing to build out their corporate governance capabilities or strengthen their expertise.  This expertise I use with reports to the Nye County Board of Commissioners, as the Secretary of the Nye County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, as Chair for the Western Standardbred Alliance and Nevada Standardbred Association.  Historically I have served as the Financial Expert for Manufacturing Boards and business development.

Although my background may seem extensive, its the scalable simplicity of principles that helps make my experience work for companies.  With a financial foundation as a CPA, that helps establish audit principles, along with the experience of having owned and managed my own companies with boards and stakeholders the knowledge of financial and business success with strong corporate governance should resonate through to the client.  As business drive for profitability in unstable financial times, it takes more than operational streamlining to ensure enterprise success.  Yet have the background on delivering on operational efficiencies to better the bottom line.
