I am post graduate and retired as a senior executive from a reputed central govt undertaking.
I wrote to very widely circulated English daily newspapers on varied topics on socio, economic, political issues that are plaguing the country today. I not only raised problems of relevance to the society but also tried to suggest measures to mitigate them as a responsible citizen. I was awarded the best letter award by the concerned newspaper management quite a few times.
In my professional life too, I happened to head a few task force groups for giving recommendations on specific lingering business related issues. They were accepted by the management and forwarded for strict adherence by all concerned. I drafted a number of official documents for the customers to serve as guide for them to follow while dealing with maintenance, installation and dos/donts with respect to electric equipment. The acceptance and positive customer feedback is an ample proof. Also, I successfully drafted a number of emails/letters to my colleagues, customers, suppliers in business language as a part of my job.
In general, I am reasonably good at drafting text in English to effectively communicate what I have in mind as per the requirement. i am confident that I can create an impressive content given an opportunity. I have a computer system at home with Internet connection that enables me to carry out any job without any hindrance.
