Remember Sea Monkeys? Remember the picture of the family of sea creatures with the crowns on their heads? They were cool. I wanted them. I wanted them to wave to me as I watched them cavorting in their fish bowl. What I got was brine shrimp. Marketing is different now than it was 20 years ago. No more dancing soup cans and corny jingles. Today's consumer is way more sophisticated than he used to be. And that even goes for 8 year old kids. Many of the tricks and gimmicks that copywriters used to use just don't work anymore. That's where I come in. I know the rules of copywriting. But I'm creative enough that I can follow the rules without being formulaic. Nobody wants stale copy. I'm new in the field. So if you want a copy writer who's well establised -- I'm not it.
