I have been using desk-top publishing software for about 25 years, professionally and personally. Some examples are Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (and, previously, Pagemaker and Quark Xpress), so I have extensive experience designing with them, more so on a freelance level than in a business setting. I have worked on visual identity, guides, catalogs, illustration, brochures and ad design in a business environment, and flyers, posters, and promotional design in volunteer organizations, as well as for freelance clients, and my own business created with three colleagues. I am quite familiar and at ease using web editing software such as Dreamweaver and BBEdit, but also with HTML/DHTML and hand-coding, as I have been designing web sites for the past 10 years in Paris, France. I also use my language skills in French to English translation and proofreading, for clients such as LG Electronics, Finances & Pédagogie, IFSTTAR, Institut Esthederm, etc. For the last two years, I have been working on a series of academic books for University use here in France, providing requested graphic design, illustrations, maps, charts, as well as translating and proofreading text.
