I’m Brian Egan, a storyteller, creative producer and filmmaker from New Jersey. Since moving to NYC 7 years ago, I’ve used my filmmaking background to tell emotionally engaging stories in the feature-documentary, branded content, digital and scripted commercial space. To date, I’m most proud of the work I did on GENERATION STARTUP, a feature-documentary that I co-developed and co-produced. We then created and executed a strategic distribution plan and grassroots marketing campaign, releasing the film theatrically in NYC, LA and Detroit. It was then released on Netflix. As a creative producer, I have a passion for great storytelling and big creative ideas. I believe in telling stories that connect emotionally with people at our most human level. As an experienced filmmaker, I have an eye for high production value and the instinct to build collaborative, creative teams because of my comprehensive technical background in production, cinematography and editing. Most recently, I was the Co-Founder and Head of Production of Creative Breed, an Empathy Agency. While there I helped create and develop emotionally engaging content that inspires people to think, feel and take action. The experience has taught me how to be a creative problem-solver and further hone my skills to create and develop an idea, build the best team for the project, and execute across pre-production, production, post-production and distribution. It has taught me to be gritty, nimble, collaborative and entrepreneurial in all aspects of creative ideation and production. It has given me the ability to work with the smallest (some non-existent) budgets to seven figure budgets. I enjoy projects most when I’m involved at every stage -- creating the original idea, building the best creative team, and developing the distribution strategy. I’m most interested in big ideas and the intersection of storytelling, technology and branding. I graduated from Fairfield University with a major in Film, Television and Media Arts and have since been living in downtown Manhattan
