While I am new to freelance editing, I am not new to editing itself. In highschool, I was Editor in Chief of my highschool newspaper. During my four years studying english literature at university, I spent a great deal of my time both writing essays (particularly in the fields of english and political science), and editing those of my friends, often on short notice, and stringent timelines. Fortunately for my friends, I am an extremely fast and detail oriented editor, capable of editing for flow and readability, without compromising the author's intentions, or destroying the overall "feel" of the work. I am extremely dedicated to my work, and work well both on my own and as part of a team. My strengths lie in writing and editing. As a recent university graduate with a BA in English Literature I have very little professional experience, though I am extremely detail oriented and my fundamental skills are top notch from years of academic writing and editing.
