Native New Yorker, award winning fiction writer, sometime film critic and all around media grump. I've spent over 20 years making a living in New York's television industry, and I have the mental health issues to prove it. I'm also, rather incongruously, a science fiction and fantasy writer. I've written lively movie reviews for print and online magazines since 2005 and as a nonfiction editor, I've conceived, commissioned, edited (and in some cases rewritten) articles on everything from brain function to airships to end of world scenarios. I'm a graduate of the Odyssey Writing Workshop and NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts where I majored in screenwriting.
