I am listed in the 2001 edition of "Who's Who Among Students In American Junior Colleges" in recognition of my work with The Clarion. the student paper for Sinclair Community College. While attending classes, I worked for the paper. I worked as a writer first, then became the news editor, then worked as the advertising manager. I learned a bit about layout, as the first year I was there we were still doing cut and paste.I have covered township trustee and city council meetings for a local newspaper. I have written articles for the papers yearly Bridal insert. I have covered Christmas tree lightings, a local church having a 9/11 ceremony, interviewed a soldier heading overseas, and a local business being displaced due to a road widening project.While at Sinclair, I went skydiving for a story for The Clarion.I have entered short story and poetry writing contests. My strength is in my writing and editing skills, and the joy I get from writing.
