I design, implement, test and support web-based systems using Grails, Groovy and PostgreSQL running on Linux, together with Javascript frameworks like JQuery. I especially enjoy working with small businesses that are taking their first steps on the web. I don't mind working to fixed prices for fixed deliverables, and I am happy to discuss client needs at no cost before decisions are made and to work out volume discounts for larger projects. There are a great number of frameworks to help new users with basic web sites, blogging, or e-commerce, but not so many "quick solutions" for small to medium sized systems with more complex database needs. That's my speciality! Finally, I'm comfortable working with customers in English, French or Spanish.
