• Rewrote an Order Capture and Provisioning System (currently residing on a mainframe written in a proprietary language and database) to a Windows platform using REXX and an MS-Access database • Facilitated the decommissioning of a FileMaker Pro database used for tracking work assignments by replacing it with an MS-Access application. This application uses eleven tables, fifteen queries, thirty-six forms including sub-forms, and six reports. I volunteered to take on this responsibility after watching my manager become frustrated with the current database and realizing there was a high cost to maintain it and modify it. My manager and other users of the new application are very pleased as I was able to implement their specific requirements to their satisfaction and increase performance at the same time.
