Hello, my name is Jessie. I've spent my entire life spending time doing two things: working with kids and falling in love with the English Language. They're the reasons I decided to go into Secondary English Education, taught English in Taiwan, have reread the Harry Potter series three times and worship the genius minds of Jane Austen, William Shakespeare and yes, even Dr. Seuss. Because of all my experience with language and teaching, I've come to understand the importance of a writer's voice and gaining perception. My goal is to be able to help you make your own words come alive by helping you find the right way to organize your ideas, and create dynamic characters and plots. This past year I was a fellow at East STL High and I heard someone say "Tell Your Truth." It stuck with me because I think everyone has a story to tell, whether it's through fiction, a biography or a newspaper article. I hope something that you've read so far has sparked your interest and I look forward to hearing about anything that you may think I would be a good fit for.
