Doctor in Hydrology

$40/hr Starting at $1K

Hydrologist and Doctor since 2007, with over 20 years of experience on Flood Risk Prediction, Water Resources Engineering and Environmental Impact working for the Tecnologico de Monterrey and the University of Connecticut, I make mathematical models applied to hydrology, floods, reservoirs operations, water resources management and, eco-hydrology with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects both a consultancy and academic/research environment. I worked at the Tecnologico de Monterrey on system optimization-based simulation of reservoir operations, applying my modeling water resources expertise in the Nuevo Leon and Baja California States (Mexico) Projects under climate change scenarios. Before that, I participated on an international collaborative research work, applying my hydrologic modeling skills in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Connecticut where I performed flood predictions using Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) in Palm Beach (Florida) and Kishinev (Moldova). Besides, I worked at Wood Rodgers Inc. where I performed floodplain prevention in the city of Vacaville (California). During my Ph.D. studies in the Natural Resources Management and Engineering Department at the University of Connecticut, I performed studies in the Fenton River (Connecticut), Zacapa River (Guatemala) and West Thompson Hydropower Dam (Massachusetts) focused on drought environmental impact on fish life; modelling hydropower dams; applying water temperature models and taking discharges meassurements with ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) .
