I've been in freelance work since 2002 when I opened by business called The Butterfly Connection, a virtual assistant service especially for all you hard working people who need help getting those important things done such as documents typed up and formatted, databases built by a speedy and accurate data entry person, presentations made lively, marketing mailings designed, merged with a database, printed and mailed; the list goes on and on. I'm known as a self-starter taking the initiative to work independently but also love working with team members and clients. As for my writing, I have been writing short stories and poems for about 15 years. I have published some work online and am working on writing a book. I also write or revise resumes and do some article and content writing as well as editing and proofreading. Before opening my business, I worked as an administrative assistant, document specialist, data entry operator, proofreader, web researcher, computer tutor, recruiter of teachers and tutors. I have been certified by Microsoft as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). I am self taught in several software programs and thrive on challenges that push me to learn more.
