Me and my Japanese wife work together when translating English to Japanese. We do it by first having me do the initial translation as I am proficient in both languages, then my wife corrects grammar mistakes and such if there are any. After that she also rewrites some parts and sentences a bit just to make it sound better to the native reader. Finally I do one last check after she is finished to confirm that the original meaning of the translation has not changed. Together we are like a translator that is native in both languages. My English is at native level and my Japanese is highly fluent. I have also passed JLPT N1. My wife is Japanese and her Japanese 100% native. Her English is while not bad not good enough for translating yet, which is why we do this together.
