I have a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of St Andrews and have studied proofreading and editing. After working for 12 years as a teacher I spent some time at home raising my son. I am currently doing secretarial work and spend a high proportion of my time formatting documents. I have excellent skills in spelling, grammar and layout and a keen eye for errors in text. I am hoping to commence a career in part time online editing and proofreading and look forward to gaining experience in this area. I have recently edited 10 articles which are being brought out in book form, editing for format, consistency and fluency, and checking all references.
