I am a Classicist by training (I teach Latin as my day job) as well as an editor, proofreader, writer and researcher. For over twenty years I have been teaching writing to students and editing and giving feedback for their papers. I have also worked as part of the college counseling department, writing letters of recommendation for college applications and editing the letters that my colleagues wrote. On my own time, I have pursued my Master's degree, writing a thesis in MLA format and I have taken online courses which required papers to be written in APA format, so I am very familiar with both of those styles. Currently I am studying medical terminology in hopes of eventually working with writers in the life sciences. I am hoping to find work as an editor or proofreader for academic papers or other writing, but I would love to do some original research and writing as well.
