With 13 years experience teaching courses (including Rhetoric and Composition at the Pennsylvania State University) involving such aspects of writing as focus, content, organization, style and conventions, I work both to revise and edit a document. During the revision process, I address the overall piece in regard to the information presented - whether it makes sense, is organized appropriately, is sufficiently supported, and it thoroughly proves the thesis statement (if applicable). As I edit, I identify issues with grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, etc. With a Masters in education, and a teaching certificate in secondary English, I have considerable experience with a variety of writing, ranging from student research reports to doctoral theses.
