Miralda won in México three prizes a short story, and in Canada she won a short story that was taken into a play called: “Arrival: Stories, Mask & Movement.” She had art exhibitions in Mexico as well. In Vancouver, she graduated from BCIT as a Senior Manager in Web Design and CD-Rom, and worked at her own business for eight years. Later, she went to Kwantlen University for the Recreation Therapy program. She successfully works as a Recreational Therapist, developing and implementing mainly art programs. She also holds an advanced Certificate in Advanced Painting from the prestigious Emily Carr University of Art. For years she has painted in acrylics, exploring mainly abstract and allegorical themes. Miralda has also had several exhibitions, including one at the Britannia Mine Museum in the summer of 2014. Lately, Miralda has decided to be a full-time artist.
