Currently working on Doctoral Thesis using machine learning to synthesize a controller for a bipedal walking robot. Relevant code includes physics simulator for rigid bodies with CORBA interfaces, local and distributed optimization routines, and hooks into MATLAB and my own Direct3D immediate-mode graphics engine. Extensive experience in scientific computing, including many simulations of neural and biological systems. Spent one summer on a research fellowship at the Santa Fe Institute. Also spent two summers programming at Microsoft as an undergraduate. During the first summer, I programmed the color JPEG decompressor for Windows CE v2. For the second summer, I worked at Microsoft Research designing the artificial intelligence engine for the game Allegiance.
