I have experience with proofreading and writing to adjust language and correct errors within various types of scoping and contract documents in the professional services realm of practice. My strengths pertain more specifically to the correct use of sentence structure, conjugation, vocabulary, etc. of the English language, and haven't historically been focused on the technical or legal content itself. Staying "out of the weeds" regarding the technical content of your document allows me to take an objective look at the language and phrasing used, and offer corrections and/or alternative phrasing to make the document more readable by its intended target. If necessary to successfully complete a project, I am willing to research the content to gain an understanding of the material. I am confident proofreading articles, bios, short stories, etc. as well. I also have experience in effective communication and a strong client service background. I am currently employed full time by a prominent civil engineering firm in the Midwest US. As such, I would be agreeable to perform services on projects that would require 10 hours or less to complete. I would be willing to entertain a discussion for a larger project if something caught my eye.
