I have used the best BIM software, REVIT Architecture, exclusively for the past five years. I have utilized REVIT Architecture not only for construction documents, but have also created parametric 3D family files for a mass production home company that enabled an increase in quality control and other efficiencies. I have use REVIT Architecture to work with builders out of state to develop their ideas in a 3D model which they in turn use with the customers or sub contractors. I frequently use Autodesk's Design Review which is an effective free tool which enables builders and designers to communicate the needs and ideas for a building all in the 3D.
