I have over fourteen years experience of fundraising, with extensive knowledge of trusts and foundations, in addition to a good working knowledge of other fundraising techniques. In addition, I have over 15 years overall experience within the sector, in various roles, ranging from management, strategy development, and project management. This experience, gives me a sound background and wide ranging experience in the sector with an appreciation of the bigger picture in which charities and not for profits operate. My experience as a fundraiser has included newly established third sector organizations, presenting tough challenges for fundraising where I can assist with strategies to become funding ready, addressing issues such as governance, developing SMART outcomes, and monitoring and evaluation. In addition my experience includes a wife range of causes including community, disability, international aid, mental health and young people’s charities. In total I have raised approximately one million pounds for charities during the course of my career.
