Experienced Product Development Engineer

$40/hr Starting at $400

Think Feasible Ltd ThinkFeasible Ltd is an engineering design consultancy specialising in energy management and product development, headed by Ben White. Ben White’s Profile I qualified from Brunel and Swansea University in 2009 as a Mechanical/ Automotive Engineer. I worked as a development engineer in the military sector with Supacat (scgroup-global.com) for two years designing and developing components and systems for high mobility and blast protected vehicles. I ran my own business; Murtaya Sports Cars Ltd with two other directors and managed the sale of the business in 2013. I moved into industrial automation in 2013, specifically integrating laser marking systems into production lines in Jaguar, Ford, and Aston Martin amongst others. In early 2014 I started working in the renewable energy sector; starting with system design/ technical support and then moving into product development. The first project I completed was a rectangular pressurised storage tank designed to reduce the space required for thermal storage. I then worked as the lead development engineer on an innovative commercial heating control system project which was part funded by DECC (Department of Energy and Climate Change). In this project we took an idea from concept stage to a demonstrator sufficient to secure significant funding in 6 months, the project then accelerated reaching Beta test phase and a product that is arguably commercially viable product in under a year. the product can be found here: www.minibems.com Since December 2015 I have been running ThinkFeasible Ltd. So far the business has developed a number of products, taking ideas from the concept stage to low volume production first releases. (these project cannot be discussed at this stage due to their commercially sensitive nature).
