FIFA World Cup results 2022: Latest scor

$5/hr Starting at $25

With six days to go until the 2022 World Cup, we are starting to see the formation of the groups.

Yesterday witnessed the start of the second round of group matches, where the Qatari national team was a host in a desperate attempt to avoid the shame of early exclusion at home, while one of the group stage matches witnessed England’s confrontation with the United States of America.

There were some crucial matches today too, with the likes of Australia and Argentina (yes, Argentina!) needing wins to avoid elimination.

Victoria were forced to work hard in the first match of the day against Tunisia, who impressed in their opening draw with Denmark.  They eventually made it through 1-0 to give themselves a real chance to take the lead from the fourth set courtesy of a Mitchell Duke header.

In the second match of the day, attention shifted to Group C, where Poland and Saudi Arabia met at the Education City Stadium in Al-Rayyan.

A win would have qualified the Saudis for the knockout stages for the first time since 1994, but Robert Lewandowski would have scored his first ever World Cup goal to deny them a 2-0 victory.

Defending champions France secured their qualification with a 2-1 victory in their match against Denmark, courtesy of a sensational double blast from superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Then all eyes turned to Lucille and Missy in particular.

With the pressure still on strong after their opening defeat to the Saudis, Messi and Enzo Fernandez scored stunning goals to give the Albiceleste a 2-0 victory over Mexico and revive their chances of qualifying for the Round of 16 of Group C.

Meanwhile, it was a huge blow to El Tri's hopes and the Mexicans would go into the final day finishing last in the group.
