FileMaker Plug-in Programming

Programmed more than 5 commercially successful plug-ins for both macOS and Windows platforms and several other for in-house use. Started with FileMaker 4 in circa 2002, where used the plug-in External API. Created a unique 24U SimpleHelp plug-in offering help tags and guidance for FileMaker layouts. Then programmed 24U SimpleDialog plug-in, a plug-in for display custom dialog boxes and 24U SimpleSound plug-in, a plug-in for playing sound and media. Invented the 24U SuperFat PostLinker plug-in allowing creation of single-file plug-ins capable of running on Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Windows platforms. Then ported these plug-ins to FileMaker 7, where the external API changed completely. Invented the 24U Plug-In template, a famous (and free) template for writing new FileMaker plug-ins. Created the Media Manager plug-in together with Clear Software Solutions, a plug-in for manipulation of image, media, and file data and metadata. Tomas was co-maintaining the plug-in since FileMaker 7 until today. Though it took some time the MediaManager plug-in got ported into FileMaker 14 into the new 64-bit architecture and is now a cross-platform cross-architecture plug-in running on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows and 32-bit and 64-bit macOS.
