Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, I spent my childhood watching films and channel surfing while enjoying and admiring the creativity and storytelling prowess of various film directors. After picking up the camera seven years ago as a hobby, Afeeq immediately realised that filmmaking and photography are his passions. Today, he yearns to share the work of art he has created with audiences around the world. Since turning and enhancing his talents towards filmmaking, Afeeq has quickly built a reputation as one of the most exciting young film directors in Malaysia. He has directed two films including a documentary that was shortlisted for ‘Best Documentary’ in Canberra, Australia. His world has revolved around his interest and creative vision. Afeeq is passionate about creating emotional stories. He is always on the look for the idiosyncrasies that colour our lives and the abnormal that makes us normal. His inspiration growing up are Bruno Aveillan, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino. Afeeq Nadzrin is an accomplished Producer with real work experience in the media production industry. He is skilled in Cinematography, Photography, Media Producing, Television and Film. He also has a strong command of arts and design, and is professionally qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management from the University of Canberra.
