About me Costs of genealogical research in Portugal are prohibitive so I dived in my own family history during my free time, unearthing the lives of thousands of my own ancestors. What used to be a hobby became an addiction – I get a real kick whenever I uncover a new generation. I am based in London and conduct most of my research from home, usually during the weekends. I also have contacts in Portugal ready to be mobilized when ground research is needed. What I can offer you: It all depends on what you are looking for! I can research a specific line of your ancestors or expand research you have already done in the past. Most people go for my standard package to research their whole family tree up to the 5th generation (mid-19th Century). This will unearth up to 62 of your ancestors. Delivery time will vary greatly, and we can discuss this in detail after I’ve concluded my initial free assessment. What you will get with the Standard Package: A GEDCOM file that contains genealogical information about the individuals in your family tree. You may then upload it to a range of websites that allow you to host your family tree and conduct further research on your own. A Personalised Family Book in digital format (.pdf) with all my findings: your family tree, an index of individuals, places and a chronology of events. When possible, this will include their photographs and, if enough information can be recovered, a short bio. A list of all sources and copies of all documented records will be included. This can be done in Portuguese and/or English – up to you! A printed beautified version of your Family Book can then be produced. All information from the digital version can be crafted to your taste and style and I will make sure it becomes a piece of art you and your family can cherish for generations to come.
