  1. Requirements Analysis: Define the device's functionality, hardware specifications, and required behavior.
  2. Design: Identify functional blocks, interactions between them, and the design layers. Refine the design until it meets all requirements.
  3. Implementation: Start coding the lowest layer (e.g., sensor libraries) and progressively move upwards.
  4. Testing: Thoroughly test each layer of the firmware.
  5. Integration & Verification: Integrate the firmware with the hardware and verify its functionality.
  6. Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy the firmware to the device and provide ongoing maintenance and updates if needed.
