Amazon’s new Kindle Format 8 (KF8) for eBooks, tailored for their Kindle Fire series, is capable of preserving the original print design of your book, while still maintaining live text (this means that the text is not embedded within an image file, but is searchable, etc.). In Amazon’s previous Kindle format, readers could enlarge fine print by adjusting their font settings; while this feature is not available in fixed-layout eBooks, KF8 features text magnification, creating a unique and lively reading experience, which is ideal for children’s picture books and books that are graphic intense.
