My name is Damiano, I'm 30 years old and I'm from Italy. At the moment I'm based in Brno, Czech Republic, where I'm working for Monster Worldwide as a Customer Service Representative since May 2018. Brno office is the HQ of customer service in Europe, and here we are a team of 130 people from all over Europe, where we provide support with more than 7 languages to our customers. I support italian speaking market, so I speak italian with our customers, but for most of the time I speak english with my managers and other team members. Translation is an important part of my job (around 25% of my time), where I translate official documents from English to italian, such as product updates, marketing communications, automatic emails and articles for the resource centre. In particular, in October 2019 I've updated all articles of the Resource Help Centre dedicated to seekers' support. But my “international career” didn’t start with Monster, but it did it during my university years. After my graduation in 2016, I've spent one year in Prague as a volunteer in an European Commission project, where I worked in an NGOs that organizes international projects promoting youth mobility and international cooperation. From January till September I worked as Incoming officer, collecting applications from young people who wanted to participate in voluntary projects in Czech Republic and providing support and communicating with sending organizations from different international networks. About my interests and passions, I love travelling, especially solo trips. I like to travel by myself for several weeks, basically because I like to not make plans and decide my program the day before. During the last years I visited more than 20 countries, and finally last year I realized my dream to visit Asia, spending two weeks around Thailand. My dream is to visit Japan and Taiwan soon. I also like music, especially classic rock from 70’s and indie from 00’s. I play guitar since I was 12 and I used to play in several band, especially cover bands (punk rock, pop rock and reggae). I’m passionate about literature, especially american authors, like Ernest Hemingway, Paul Auster, John Steinbeck and Philip Roth.
