I have 2 years of experience working as a transcriptionist. While working on Rev.com, I do not outsource. I manually transcribe audio/video files into Word documents, I then proofread and edit every transcript. My work is 90% accurate. My standard transcription style is intelligent verbatim; this means crutch words like um, ah, er and false starts are not included in the finished transcript, unless requested by you. I type at an average speed of 100 WPM with 90% accuracy. I use a foot pedal with Express Scribe when I am transcribing. On average, it takes me four working hours to transcribe one hour of audio. My rate is $20.00 per hour of work or $80.00 per audio hour. I charge $1.33 per audio minute. If there are more than two speakers, I charge an additional $10.00 per audio hour per additional speaker. I ensure client satisfaction by providing great customer service with fast response times, as well as delivering high-quality transcripts. My TAT's are usually within 24 hours for 1 hour of audio.
