Hello, my name is Brooke and I am a writer. Truly, of all succinct ways that could be used to identify me, “writer” is synonymous with my social security number. Writing to me is second only to breathing. My entire existence can be found scribbled in notebooks or typed in documents. Long before I could write, I created stories. I was the child that put on plays with my teddy bears, complete with intricate scripts. At University, I obtained a degree in English Literature, and started teaching creative writing to high school students upon graduation. I taught for five years before venturing off into the land of full time creative writing.
