I hold an MFA in creative writing from Spalding University. While in graduate school, I worked as a student editor for The Louisville Review. As a student editor, my duties included reading and evaluating submissions, voting on the submissions (yes/maybe/no), and proofreading a final copy of the magazine before it was sent to the printer. I currently serve as a general reader for the online magazine Spry Literary, where I have also been a contributor. I am also a co-founder and regular contributor to the writing blog www.literarylabors.com. I have experience editing both my own work as well as the work of my fellow MFA graduates, and my short stories have appeared in various literary journals.
