During my Senior year at Mississippi State, I recall watching the 15 minute blog Rails intro video and being blown away. After graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science in 2006, I worked with Java, .NET, PHP, and more until I finally found a Rails position in 2010. I have experience leading teams. In 2012, I led the team that created the Rails engine that powers the American Express Travel Hub. Later that year, after moving into a Cofounder & CTO position at a startup in New Orleans, I was awarded by a local publication for being "a top mover and shaker in the Louisiana technology scene." I moved back home to Mississippi in 2014 and have been freelancing ever since.
